The GPA Calculator is an online academic tool designed to calculate your Grade Point Average based on grades and credit hours. Instead of manually converting letter grades into grade points, this tool automatically does the work for you, saving time and reducing errors. It is widely used by students for tracking academic progress, calculating eligibility for scholarships and planning future courses.

  1. Enter Courses: Input the name of each course for your semester.
  2. Select Grades: Choose the letter grade (A, B, C, etc.) or numeric grade you received.
  3. Enter Credit Hours: Provide the credit hours assigned to each course.
  4. Click Calculate: The calculator will instantly compute your GPA.

Formula Used: GPA = Total Grade Points ÷ Total Credit Hours

Note: Grade points are calculated by multiplying each course’s credit hours by its grade value, then dividing by total credit hours.

  • Instant Results: Get accurate GPA in less than a second.
  • Supports All Scales: Works with 4.0, 4.3 and percentage-based GPA systems.
  • Free & Unlimited: Use as many times as needed without restrictions.
  • User-Friendly: Simple design suitable for students of all levels.
  • Cross-Platform: Works on mobile, desktop and tablets with no installation required.

To calculate GPA manually, follow these steps:

  1. Convert each course grade into grade points (e.g., A = 4.0, B = 3.0).
  2. Multiply each grade point by its course credit hours.
  3. Add up all grade points to get the total.
  4. Divide the total grade points by total credit hours.

Example: If you took 3 courses with grades A (4.0 × 3 credits = 12), B (3.0 × 4 credits = 12) and C (2.0 × 3 credits = 6), then: (12+12+6) ÷ (3+4+3) = 30 ÷ 10 = 3.0 GPA.

  • High School Students: Track semester grades and prepare for college applications.
  • College Students: Monitor GPA for scholarships and honors programs.
